Day book is a important part of tally prime you can view and analyse sales purchase receipt payment and journal vouchers here of your day to day transactions, whatever entry you will do in your tally prime software it can be viewed in day book so lets learn how to view day book in tally prime with proper configuration
Open Tally Prime
Launch the tally prime software and then select your company
You will be now at gateway of tally screen
Day Book Shortcut Key
From gateway of tally screen press DD
Display More Reports > DayBookyou
DD is the shortcut to open the day book and the second short cut is K
Press K to open Day Book in tally prime
Both short cut works from gateway of tally Screen
You can also view your day book from Go To
Press Alt G > Type Day Book
Day Book always shows the transaction of current day
Change the Period
Change the date or period of day book by pressing F2 for a date or Alt + F2 for a period to view the daybook for that specific date or period
Configure Day Book
To configure the day book in tally prime press F12 from Day Book Screen
F 12 is the shortcut cut key
In configuration you can choose the show narration option to yes and you will see the narration
Format of report > Detailed View
By selecting detailed view you can see bill wise details and also inventory details
Just you need to select the yes option
Voucher Type
F4 is the shortcut key to select the Voucher
You can select the specific vouchers to view for eg : you want to view only payment vouchers then you can select payment vouchers for a specific period of time which you want to view
Like wise sales and purchase and every other voucher you can select and view that voucher in daybook
